Well, I had a professional windshield installer come by and install the windshield. I decided I didn't want the original chrome strips reinstalled and decided to have a more modern installation. BTW, originally these windshields were installed with butyl tape. The professionals are no longer allowed by law to install a windshield with butyl tape, another reason I went with the modern installation.

To prep the car, the installer painted the window frame, painted a 3/4" edge around the inside of the windshield, installed the rubber seal (I selected the imbedded chrome strip), then put the windshield glue on the window frame. Finally they installed the windshield. Since I had purchased a used original windshield, they said the windshield fit perfectly.

Next, I removed half of the interior to remove the speedo, throttle and clutch cable.

I also installed a new firewall gear shift bushing. This shows the new cables coming out of the firewall.

Well, I installed the engine shelf and battery tray today. It doesn't look like much, but it took me about (3) hours to adjust and weld in these pieces.

Here's the hell hole. I put seam sealer to completely seal this area.

Yesterday was my birthday and Robin had her brother build me a pole barn on the 25' x 50' concrete slab. I now have a larger area to work on the cars.

I rolled the next project car to see how it fit, perfectly.

Finally finished prepping the engine compartment, fender wells and bottom of rear trunk areas. Here's a shot of the car taped up so that the overspray wont effect the paint job.

This is the primer. You'll notice that I used aluminum foil to wrap the electrical lines. It's a lot easier to remove instead of the tape.
