This car was donated by Joe Richard after the car was in his mother-in-laws garage fire. This is the interior. |
A pic of the firewall. Everything burned. Fortunately for Joe, he had pulled the engine and trans and had it at his house during the fire. |

Another interior shot. That's Joe and my father-in-law. |
Here we're transferring the car from Joe's trailer to mine. Joe stored the car on a trailer in the burnt garage to keep it out of the weather. |
This is Joe and his son Chris, after we got the car on my trailer. |
|
We put the tarp on the car, then pushed it back into the garage. We left the car overnight in the garage and picked it up the next morning. |
This is towing the car and trailer back home to Plant City. This is the tunnel under Mobile, AL. This was a long trip, 1100 mi roundtrip. We left Friday night at 7:00 pm and arrived in MS at 4:00 am. We stayed in a rest area until 7:00 am Saturday. We left Sunday at 7:30 am and arrived back home at 6:30 pm. It took an extra 3 hours to drive the truck and trailer back with the car. |
Since the car burned, there is a lot of cleaning to do. This is the interior before clean up. You can see where the dash melted. |
