Finally used the new air compressor to paint primer on the car. This will show the before and after pics. I spend about 1 1/2 hours masking the car. I then used the 'purple' disk to clean up any light surface rust. I then applied thinner over everything and immediately wiped it off. Finally, I applied Ospho, for about 2 minutes, then washed with cool clean water and immediately wiped this off. The last step was applying the primer. This is the before shot of the rear trunk and passenger side. |

I had originally used a rattle can to cover this area, but I didn't use any Ospho. There was a couple of small areas that were showing rust. I wiped this area down with the thinner, then applied the Ospho, for rust control. This is the before shot of the rear trunk and the driver side. |

I still have more work to do on the body, but with an even coat of paint, I'll be able to identify the areas quickly. This will also allow me to work on other areas, without the worry of 'flash' rust. The after shot of the rear trunk and driver side. |
