Well, I purchased another project car. I was introduced to this car by Steve. The previous owner was Tom. Tom has owned this car for 11 years. He took it to Dave White to get a quote on restoring it. After deciding that the value of the car would be less than the quote, he decided to sell it and buy a Miata from a co-worker's daughter.

I purchased this car 3 days before Robin and I went on a 1 week cruise on the Freedom of the Seas, currently the world's largest cruise ship. Anyway, that's why there aren't any purchase day/driving home shots. These shots were taken 2 weeks after purchase at my shop.

The car was originally Scarlet red, but was repainted by a previous owner. The engine is the original 2.0l, fuel injection. As you can see, the front suspension has been converted to the 5-bolt 911. The rear also has 5-bolt, vented disk brakes.

After I bought this car, I had the full intent of refreshing it, but I received an e-mail from Jim looking for a driver/fixer-upper. I offered this car, with the rear trunk lid hinge and the speedo fixed. Well, today, Jim and his family came by and picked the car up.

Jim and his family came from Ft.Meyers and drove the car home today. Jim I hope you have a lot of fun in this car and look forward to joining us for a Tampa Bay breakfast in your new 914.
